About

Hi, I’m Toni!
I’m a student midwife, holistic birthworker, and community herbalist, reclaiming the ancient ways of my ancestors through my own personal practice, tending the land, and serving in my community. I am devoted to my own healing journey, so that I may show up fully as a mother, wife, community member, and as someone who holds space for others as they navigate their own paths. I believe wholeheartedly that when we heal the mother, we heal the planet, we heal our ancestors, and we free generations to come.
I currently serve the Washington, DC Metro Area, Maryland, and Virginia. I utilize my experience as a creative with healing modalities like yoga, meditation, and utilizing herbs and food as medicine. While lived experience and ancestral wisdom are foundational to my work, I have also studied formally with a range of teachers (see below for formal education and training). I continue to deepen my knowledge so that I may offer care that is both intuitively grounded and informed by current, evidence-based practices in maternal health and childbirth.
My intention is to serve my community in ways that support liberation and embodiment. It is my prayer that through birthwork, mothers carrying, birthing, and raising the next generation are supported in becoming deeply informed and empowered to trust their intuition. That they experience pregnancy, birth, and postpartum as healthy, safe, and transformative and carry that confidence into motherhood and daily life.
I currently reside in Southern Maryland with my husband and 2 daughters. In my free time, you’ll find me diving into a new book, homeschooling my kids, rolling on the mats with the family doing yoga or jiu-jitsu, tending my garden and making herbal medicine, or volunteering at local community gardens and farms. A few random things about me: I’m a southern girl at heart, 90s R&B is basically the soundtrack of my life, my husband and I are low-key comedians, and I love cooking so much I’d probably have gone to culinary school if I weren’t a birthworker!
